OTLEY'S swimming pool has been closed due to 'mechanical problems'.
A decision was made to temporarily shut Chippindale Pool, at Prince Henry's Grammar School, on Saturday, April 13.
The pool has remained closed since, while Active Leeds and Leeds City Council work to resolve what they have described as 'ventilation issues'.
Posts on the facility's Facebook page have apologised for the closure and confirmed that any lessons missed will be credited.
An update from Active Leeds on Tuesday, April 16 announced that the pool will remain closed for the rest of this week while new fans are installed.
It said: "Unfortunately, owing to ongoing mechanical problems the pool will remain closed today, tomorrow, and Thursday.
"As the pool is programmed to be closed for Easter from Friday through to Monday the pool will, all being well, open as normal on Tuesday, April 23.
"All swimming lessons will be credited for any lessons missed. Thank you for your patience whilst we get the issues resolved."
