OTLEY residents are being invited to create a ‘visual petition of welcome’.
Community group Otley Welcomes is holding its second Hands Up event under the Buttercross on Saturday, March 30.
Participants will be encouraged to decorate their hands, draw around them or make prints and to sign the results.
The creations will then be used to produce an art installation, highlighting the message that Otley welcomes everyone, which will be displayed at Otley Courthouse.
Otley Welcomes would welcome donations of felt tip pens, crayons, glitter glue, stickers and paper to support the 10am to 2pm event.
Donations can given to members at the Buttercross on the day or collected beforehand - for more details send an e-mail to otleywelcomes@gmail.com or visit the group’s Facebook page.
The next Otley Welcomes meeting, meanwhile, takes place at Otley Labour Rooms from 7pm to 9pm on Monday, April 15.
