THE theme for this year’s Burley Summer Festival’s scarecrow festival has been announced as ‘heroes and villans’.
Members of Burley Festival Committee made the announcement at Grange Park where they danced along to Superman by Black Lace.
The theme encompasses fictional or real life characters who might be considered heroic or villainous.
Whilst the festival is not until August, the early announcement gives residents and businesses plenty of time to plan, make and erect their scarecrows ready for the scarecrow trail.
To be on the scarecrow trail 2019, entries can be made by downloading the online booking form at http://www.burleysummerfestival.org/scarecrow-trail.html or email Burleyscarecrows@gmail.com for further information. Or telephone the Burley Festival number on 07512120122. Printed versions of the form will be available from Burley library from June 7th June. Your scarecrow should be ready and out on display from 5pm on August 16.
