ACTIVISTS taking part in a march clashed with a frustrated driver this afternoon.
Hundreds of protesters from Extinction Rebellion, a group fighting climate change, marched from Montpelier Road to the Clock Tower in Brighton.
As the march kicked off, activists started blocking the road with banners, making way for their march.
Martin Gardner, 31, from Brighton, was trying to block a road with his banner when a driver was approaching.
The two narrowly missed each other.

Mr Gardner said: "It was a bit unecessary from the driver.
"We are peaceful activists, we are all volunteers trying to do something good.
"We just want people to stop and listen.
"We want people to hear that we are trying to prevent future generations growing up in a world that will be worse than what we are facing now with climate change."
Other drivers queued, beeping their horns as the activists contiued to block the road and make way for the march.
Several drivers attempted to drive through the banners but the activists stood firmly in their way.
Buses were also held up as activists stood to raise awareness to onlookers about the grim realities of climate change.
