AN OTLEY church has thanked its retiring Secretary for fifteen years of dedicated service.
Susan Richardson was presented with gifts by The Bridge United Reformed Church’s Minister, Reverend Jason McCullagh, as a token of thanks for all her hard work.
Rev McCullagh expressed his and the church’s gratitude for her help at the church’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 13.
Susan will be succeeded in the Secretary role by church elder John Eveleigh, who Rev McCullagh also passed on his best wishes to.
A former Town Mayor of Otley, Mr Eveleigh was the leader of the previous, Labour-controlled Otley Town Council from 2011 to 2015.
Last autumn the church - whose east window was installed in 1920 to remember the men from Otley who died - held a week of events to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.
