OTLEY residents will be able to air their views on Brexit this week.
Otley Green Party has organised a lunchtime discussion on the contentious issue at Otley Town Partnership Rooms, on Mercury Row, on Friday, March 22.
The event runs from noon to 2pm and will include speakesrs from Leeds Green Party and the local Liberal Democrats and Labour parties.
Otley Town Councillor Mick Bradley (Green, Danefield) said: “This session is intended for everyone who has a view, not just those who wish to Remain. We need to get together different views and find a citizens’ way forward.
“The discussion will seek to find common ground, not to find fault with those who take a different view.”
The Otley event takes place as politicians continue to wrestle at Parliament with the question of how best to leave the European Union. MPs rejected Prime Minister Theresa May’s withdrawal deal again last week.
