OTLEY’S Town Mayor has been serving up bangers and mash for charity.
The traditional British fare was provided at a fundraiser held at Our Lady and All Saints Catholic Church on Sunday, February 10.
The coffee morning saw hot drinks and biscuits provided after the 9.30am Mass and then bangers and mash served later for lunch.
Town Mayor Councillor Mary Vickers, who organised the event, was assisted by fellow Town Councillor Douglas Robinson.
More than £270 was raised for Cllr Vickers’ mayoral charities: Behind Closed Doors and the Burras Lane Scouts Hut roof repairs fund.
Cllr Vickers has a number of further fundraising events planned, including a May ball and a book sale, before her mayoral year comes to an end.
