POLICE are looking for the owners of two dogs which attacked and killed two alpacas in a field in the early hours of this morning.
West Yorkshire Police are investigating the incident which occurred in Guiseley.
A spokesman said: “Officers were called at 1.53am to a report that two dogs had entered a field, off Queensway, Guiseley, and attacked livestock.
“Two alpacas died and a further three alpacas were injured.
“The two dogs have been seized and enquiries will be made to establish whether either dog is of a controlled breed.
“Enquiries are also ongoing to identify the dogs’ owners.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting log 156 of February 2.
Information can also be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
