A NEW series of lunchtime classical recitals will start at Otley Courthouse this month.

Third year students from Leeds College of Music will perform at the venue, on various instruments, over the next few months. The first recital takes place from 1.05pm - doors open at 12.30pm - on Thursday, January 31 and will feature Dan Warren on clarinet, Jacob Beaman on guitar and Annie Elliott on flute.

Courthouse Centre Director Laura Kox said: “This is a great opportunity for the students to step outside the college environment and perform in front of a welcoming audience, which will find an interesting mix of music at each recital and can bring along their lunch.”

Tickets cost £5, which includes a free tea or coffee and biscuits. For more details (01943) 467466 or visit www.otleycourthouse.org.uk .
