MOOR Laughs, the new monthly comedy night at The Ilkley Moor Vaults, got off to a roaring start in October.

Headlined so far by Canadian cult comedy star Bobby Mair and then by TV star Shazia Mirza these new evenings have attracted growing audiences of 75 and then 92 in November. The new venture MC’d and organised by Ilkley’s Robson Stroud’s has aimed to give audiences early evening live entertainment on a Sunday. Robson is pleased to present on Sunday, December 16 what he says is his best line-up of comics yet: Troy Hawke headlines - a character-turn in the style of Steve Coogan, he is a 1930s star of the Silver Screen reminiscent of Errol Flynn or George Sanders.

Highly-rated comic and celebrity-impressionist Steff Todd makes a welcome return to the comedy clubs of Ilkley. Dry and dour Scotsman Billy McGuire is the warm-up 10 minute-man - a combination of an angry Santa Claus, Johnny Vegas and a lost Billy Connolly - he’s never been known to disappoint.

Tickets £12.50 from Eventbrite.co.uk and SeeTickets.com . The show starts 7pm for 7.30pm and usually finishes before 9.30pm.
