CELEBRATING the second anniversary of the Woodlands Pre-school at Westville House was easy for all the Early Years children. They decided that they wanted to plant their own forest so got to work planting little oak saplings in the grounds of the Ilkley school. The weather was beautiful and the children spent a fun morning digging holes and carefully planting their trees. The children even decided to sing to their trees to help the growing process.

Mrs Nikki Hammond, Headteacher, said: “We are so fortunate to have such an amazing facility geared totally at children from two to four years.

“It’s great to be able to offer first class education in such a setting. We have been expanding by offering science for three to four year olds. We have also introduced Gym Tots on a Thursday morning taking advantage of the superb sports facilities – both of which are available to children not currently at Westville House School. This is just the beginning of the educational journey for children at Westville and it really is exciting. Parents who would like to bring their children to Science Tots or Gym Tots can just come along or call the school for more details.”
