On Monday, November 19, as part of their autumn/winter programme, Wharfedale Male Voice Choir were invited by Maggie Fendyke, manager of Adlington House in Otley, to provide a concert for their many residents.

The selection of music was put together by the Choir’s Musical Director, Mr Paul Hurst, with piano accompaniment by Mrs Brenda Cromwell. One of the Choir’s founder members, Mr Ken Bellwood compered the event, which included a wide variety of songs from shows and hits from across the years.

The whole programme was interspersed with commentary, musical interludes and monologues. The Choir will return to Otley again in early December by further invitation from Teal Beck, with an entirely new arrangement of songs and carols as they prepare fulfil their diary of events around Wharfedale between now and the end of the year.
