A NEW series of fundraising greetings cards featuring wintry images of Wharfedale have gone on sale.
The cards are part of an ongoing effort by local photographers Steve Davey and Sharon Kenyon to support Hug on a Tray*.
Run by Chevin Socialites, the ‘Hug’ scheme provides free hot drinks, snacks and, when possible, TV access for cancer patients and visitors in the Bexley Wing of St James’ Hospital.
Sharon and Steve have been supporting the cause for the past year by producing cards featuring their shots - sales of which, to date, have raised £400.
The new range, launched in time for Christmas, includes snow-covered images of Otley and autumnal scenes in Menston.
The cards are on sale now at Maggie’s Boutique, Wharfedale Embroidery and Arundel Travel in Otley - as well as The Pantry,in Menston, and The Cutting Jungle in Saltaire.
Cards cost £2.50 each or five for £10.
*Hug on a Tray was recently named as one of the beneficiaries of next year’s Otley Carnival.
