PRE-school and nursery children who attend The Railway Children in Menston are taking on their biggest challenge yet - a Whopping Welly Walk - in aid of the BBC’s Children in Need appeal.
The children and staff will climb up Otley Chevin to raise money and awareness for the charity which helps disadvantaged children and young people. The nursery has joined forces with The Fox, Menston who have kindly offered to provide the group with hot soup, bread rolls and drinks upon completing of their whopping welly walk. Setting off from The Railway Children at Menston Railway Station at around 9am on Friday, November 16, the group will hike up the Chevin via a safe route, before heading back down to The Fox, Menston, hopefully in time for lunch. Nursery owner Zandra Monroe-Cochrane said: “We like to set ourselves a Pudsey challenge each year, to support the wonderful charity that helps so many children in need of our help!
