Horsforth Farmers Market celebrated its sixth birthday by giving presents to two local projects.

The market run by the churches together group always gives any profits away on the anniversary of it first market.

This year Horsforth Live at Home and Horsforth Children’s Centre were chosen. The projects, which received £250 each, were commended for the impact they had on the local community.

The live at home scheme will use its money for a camera and the children’s centre will buy extra sensory equipment for a new play room.

The event was celebrated with cake and fruit juice as well as a rendition of Happy Birthday by the Joy Choir.
