AVSED, a charity supporting older people in Yeadon, Rawdon and Guiseley was pleased to present flower arrangements to three long standing volunteers at the Thursday afternoon social centre. Joyce Heslop, Colin Wrigg and Dorothy Downs, were thanked for an incredible 75 years of volunteering with AVSED between them.
Sarah Lunt, project co-ordinator said: “We could not provide the myriad of services and activities we do without the help of our dedicated volunteer team. They really are incredible and we are privileged to have so many long standing volunteers.
“A massive thank you to Dorothy, Colin, Joyce and all our volunteers for the amazing support they give our members.”
AVSED always needs more volunteers and is recruiting for minibus escorts on Tuesdays and office support. Contact Sarah Rogers on 01132501702 or info@avsed.org.uk.
