THE PUBLIC are being invited to two events which will take place at Rawdon Community Library in October.

Artist, critic and social revolutionary John Ruskin, who is seen as one of the greatest Victorians, will come under the spotlight on Thursday, October 11.

The talk, John Ruskin: A Tortured Genius, will be given by Dr Graham Parry who is Professor Emeritus at York University and a former editor of The Ruskin Journal. The event will start at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £4 on the door or from the library in advance.

On Tuesday, October 16, following on from a successful event earlier in the year, there will be another Fashion amongst the Fiction Show, which boasts huge savings on high street labels. The show will begin at 7pm. Tickets cost £5, including refreshments, and will be available in the library or on the door.
