A WHARFEDALE care home is celebrating winning an In Bloom competition.
Burley Hall Bupa Care Home, at Burley-in-Wharfedale, was awarded first place in this year's Burley in Bloom contest.
The award was announced during the Burley Gardeners’ Association Annual Show at the Queens Hall last week.
Home manager Jodie Boucher, unit manager Joan Caton and resident Rowena Cooke accepted the accolade on behalf of Burley Hall from Burley Show Secretary, Angus MacIntosh.
Jodie said: "We are over-the-moon to have come first-place in the competition!
"Staff at Burley Hall have worked extremely hard to ensure the grounds look stunning for our residents - who also like to get involved by choosing the flowers they would like planted.
"The Burley Show is a fantastic community event and it’s something we are really proud to take part in."
Based on Cornmill Lane, Burley Hall provides elderly residential, nursing and convalescence care.
