EVERYTHING is in place for a fun-packed 2018 Bramhope Show.

The village's annual event takes place at the Village Hall from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, September 9.

It will feature displays of competitive classes in everything from woodwork to flower arranging along with attractions including a fancy dress parade, games, face painting and a pet show.

There will also be plenty of refreshments on offer including afternoon teas, a barbecue, bar, mocktails, ice cream and a home-made cake stall.

Bramhope Show Chair Kimberley Hill said: "If you have never entered any or our classes or attended the show we would love you to give it a go - you never know, your entry could be in the prizes!

"Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon and there will be lots of fun stalls to test your skills including a tin can alley, beat the goalie, crazy golf, hoop-la and children's stalls including face painting and a tombola.

"There will also be many side stalls from local businesses and charities.

"The children made scarecrows earlier in the year and you will find some of these displayed around the show.

"And by popular demand the children's entertainer is Partymania, with live music from Recycled.

"Regardless of the weather on the day, please join us with your family and friends and enjoy a great afternoon out supporting your local village show."

She added that the committee was grateful to local businesses, sponsors, cake bakers, volunteers and Village Hall Manager Peter Wright for their support.
