BEE Keeping and sewing are some of the skills which will be taught in a community education programme at Prince Henry's School in Otley.

Organisers say places on the courses are selling fast and that some are already sold out. Programme director Christopher Lillington is urging local people to make sure they don’t miss out.

He said: "Enrolments are going really well, with courses such as Spanish beginners, art history and Dru yoga already sold out. However, there are plenty of interesting hobbies like bee keeping, sewing for fun and comedy improvisation to try, as well as more unusual languages such as Mandarin Chinese, Turkish and Polish to begin.

"We are taking bookings throughout the holidays and have our enrolment evening, where people can enrol in person, on Thursday, September 6 at 6.30pm – and with prices from just £58 per ten weeks, it’s worth a try."

Full details of all courses and how to enrol can be found on www.princehenrys.co.uk, under Community/Community Education or residents can call 01943 463524 and request a brochure. Courses cost from £58 per ten week block, with concessions available.
