KEIGHLEY band Rock Bottom Risers are headlining the first Psych night at Leeds Wardrobe.

The August 31 launch party also feature Keighley artist Ruth.

Psych is the brainchild of music promotions outfit Main Line Live who organised the Keighley Live Festival earlier this year.

Rock Bottom Risers, a blues-rock quintet, were formed in 2012 by five school friends with their biggest influences being Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones and Johnny Cash.

Having played such festivals such as Beatherder, Bingley Music Live and Lichfield Fuse Festival, they recently released the single ‘The Collective Brain’.

Also on the bill at Site are Halifax-based Violet Disguise, with an eclectic DIY sound and raw, powerful lyrics.

Violet Disguise’s debut song ‘Dreamers’ and second single Bones were previewed on BBC Radio Introducing.

Burnley indie rock band McRae will make their Leeds debut following gigs in Manchester, while Oxenhope alt-pop singer Ruth will perform upbeat, harmonious melodies and powerful lyrics.

Doors open on August 31 at 6.45pm, and the gig runs until 10.45pm. Tickets cost £5 Advance through Universe Ticketing, or £6 on the night.
