PUPILS at Ashlands Primary School in Ilkley celebrated the Tour de Yorkshire coming to town by bringing their bikes into to school where they participated in a 'slow bike' race.
The races took place over a morning with each class racing across the playground. The slowest two riders from each class at the Leeds Road school won a prize.
A school spokesperson said: "The children and staff had a wonderful morning.
"In addition to the race we also hosted a Tour de Yorkshire breakfast in the playground to raise funds towards our new school building."
