POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the death of a driver who is believed to have been taken ill at the wheel.
The 51-year-old was in a low speed crash at the airfield viewing point on Cemetery Road, Yeadon at around 10.30am on Thursday, March 29.
Police say the man was driving a red Renault Clio which reversed out of a parking place, drove forward and struck another parked car.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "The 51 year old driver of the Clio was subsequently taken to Leeds General Infirmary, but sadly died. It is suspected that he had suffered a medical episode at the wheel.
"Any witnesses to the incident or the events leading to the collision is asked to call the non-emergency number 101."
