A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a roof in Bramhope.

The incident happened at a property off the A660 Leeds Road, on the northern edge of the village, at about 3.50pm on Wednesday, September 13.

The injured man, who suffered head and chest injuries, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary in a Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter.

He is believed to have fallen from a height of 30ft.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service had sent an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a Yorkshire Air Ambulance and three hazardous area response teams to the scene.

West Yorkshire Police also attended.
