RESIDENTS, VIPs and visitors have been enjoying a new art exhibition in Otley.
Otley Arts Club's 70th Summer Exhibition opened last week at Otley Courthouse and will run through to Saturday, August 12.
Town Council Chairman Councillor Ray Georgeson (Lib Dem, Danefield) and Town Mayor Councillor Nigel Francis are among those who have visited to view the paintings and drawings on display.
Phil Taylor from Otley Arts Club said: "The club is most appreciative of the support given by Otley Town Council, the Otley Courthouse staff and all our members who worked so hard to mount the exhibition and host our opening evening."
A raffle held at the launch saw a painting by local artist Tracey Krupianka won by David Appleyard - a guest artist in the show whose father, Joseph, was a co-founder of the club back in 1947.
Joseph`s painting of Otley Market Place has been lent to the exhibition too, where visitors have also been enjoying a selection of historical documents, photographs and reviews.
The club's display can be viewed at the Courthouse between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
