AN OTLEY Morris dancing team will celebrate its 25th anniversary this Spring.
The Buttercross Belles will mark the anniversary in style - and, of course, with a dance - in May when they once again lead the May Day celebrations at Otley's Maypole*.
The all-female side, which dances at festivals and special events across the country and abroad, still has three of its original members and is always keen to welcome new recruits.
The Belles practice from 8pm to 10pm on Thursday evenings at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School during the autumn and spring terms.
To find out more send an e-mail to squire@buttercrossbelles.com or visit buttercrossbelles.com .
*The group helps local schoolchildren enjoy a traditional dance around the Maypole, in Manchester Square, on May 1 each year.
