A LORRY ploughed into a garden wall and a car in Apperley Bridge today.

The yellow Scania truck damaged a white BMW and a wall outside a house in Hemingway Road.

The crash happened at about 8.40am. Police said no-one was injured.

A police spokesman said: "It wedged itself into the front garden wall."

The lorry blocked the road, causing queues of traffic, following the crash.
