OTLEY residents are being urged to give their first impressions of the town's work-in-progress Neighbourhood Plan.
The document, which is being drawn up by the town council and local volunteers, will help shape how Otley is developed during the next 20 years.
Following a first phase of consultation, the document has reached a stage where the steering group has to check with the community that it is looking at the right issues and policies.
A copy of its Policy Intentions Document (PID) has been sent to every household and business in the town, and can also be picked up from the council offices at Otley Core in Orchard Gate or Otley Library.
Everyone in the town is being urged to read it and share their views, with the consultation open now and running until January 15, 2016.
Once the Neighbourhood Plan reaches its final stage, residents will be able to vote at a referendum on whether or not to adopt it.
If adopted, it will become a legally-binding document that developers will have to show they are in tune with on future planning applications.
