REAL ale connoisseurs will be making a bee-line for Otley next week.

The town's 2015 Beer Festival, featuring more than 60 ales, takes place from Friday, November 20 to Saturday, November 21 at Otley Rugby Club.

Running from noon to 11pm on both days, the fundraising event will also boast a selection of cider, perry and bottled beer along with food and live music.

Admission costs £3, on the door, which includes a commemorative glass and programme.

Organised as always by Otley RATS (Real Ale Tasting Society), this year's festival will raise money for All Saints Parish Church, children's cancer charity Candlelighters, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and domestic abuse charity Behind Closed Doors.

A number of local breweries, including Briscoe's, WharfeBank and Ilkley, are taking part with the ales on sale ranging from dark stouts and porters to pale ambers and blondes. The event has raised more than £70,700 for the parish church and a variety of other good causes since 2002.
