ALL candidates standing to be Pudsey’s next MP addressed a crowd of more than 200 local residents, and answered questions on issues from the future of the NHS, policing, foodbanks, protection of the greenbelt, money challenges facing families and the shortage of local school places.
Proceedings were overseen by the Rev Nigel Sinclair who kept all candidates to time.
Jamie Hanley, Labour’s candidate to be Pudsey’s next MP, said afterwards: “Horsforth Churches Together play a vital role in our local community and I would like to thank the Rev Sinclair for co-ordinating the event and for arranging for such a magnificent turnout at St Margaret’s Church Hall. I have spoken to tens of thousands of people in the Pudsey Constituency within the past year and have listened carefully to their concerns – it was great to be able to reflect those in the hustings.”
