BUILDING society branch colleagues in Ilkley have been in the saddle to raise money a cancer charity.
They raised over £450 for Yorkshire Building Society’s Hour of Need campaign, which will enable Marie Curie Nurses to provide even more vital support for terminally ill people and their families across the UK.
The fundraising at Yorkshire Building Society, on Station Road, took place last Friday, with colleagues taking it in turns to keep the wheels spinning on a static bike for the full working day.
Rebecca Hadwin, manager of the Ilkley branch of Yorkshire Building Society, said: “We had a very successful day fundraising in support of the Hour of Need campaign for Marie Curie. We would like to thank everyone who helped us raise a £453, which will fund over 22 hours of nursing care. I’d also like to thank Dillons Health & Fitness Studio for their loan of a static bike.”
