MORE than 350 people gathered at Otley All Saints Parish Church on Monday to pay their respects to town stalwart and honorary citizen Edward Winpenny.
Family, friends and old colleagues heard fond tributes paid to the photographer and backbone of several of the town's societies and organisations.
A Royal British Legion Guard of Honour formed outside the church while pall bearers were former colleagues from the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
Inside the packed church were town councillors, including the Mayor, Councillor Norman Harrison, Otley MP, Greg Mulholland, and representatives of several town organisations, including Otley Little Theatre, Otley Chamber of Trade and Otley Carnival.
Also paying their respects were members of Otley First Responders, the emergency organisation set up by Mr Winpenny two years ago, and former colleagues in newspaper photography.
