Young people won praise from Bramhope in Bloom when they helped to clear more than 30 bags of weeds and leaves from the areas around the Puritan Chapel.
The volunteers were from the Woodcraft organisation, which encourages young people to be involved in communities.
Janet Hobson, from Bramhope in Bloom, said: "They worked very hard clearing more than 30 bags of weeds and leaves from areas around the Puritan Chapel in Bramhope. A real tribute to the youth of today."
More youngsters helped Bramhope in Bloom by digging the area at the bottom of theKnoll where there is a playground. The area will be planted with shrubs next to a seated shelter. Others from the group bagged up compost.
