Entry is open for the Academy of Children’s Writers 28th annual Write a Story for Children Competition, with a first prize of £2,000. Second prize is £300 and third prize £200. Entries can be short stories up to 2,000 words or a longer story or novel. Entry is free and the closing date is April 30. Entry forms available at childrens-writer.co.uk.
