YORKSHIRE Pianos, a leading manufacturer of upright and grand pianos and renowned for delivering outstanding quality of sound, is installing a grand piano for a charity concert in the Priory Church at Bolton Abbey on Saturday, September 28 starring professional soprano Elizabeth Frankland.

Billed as “A Night at the Theatre”, the programme includes music from well-loved opera and musicals. Elizabeth Frankland will be supported by professional accompanist, Anthea Shepherdson-Peel and singing group Belle Canto. All the performers and Yorkshire Pianos are donating their services to raise money for the Priory Heritage Fund, a fund created to support the historic features and heating of the magnificent 12th century priory.

Speaking on behalf of Yorkshire Pianos, proprietor Adam Cox said: “The Priory’s acoustics are so superb and it is a pleasure to be able to support this concert.

“We are one of few bespoke manufacturers in the UK with an unrivalled selection of new and restored pianos. As a result we attract customers from across the country including such well known names as the jazz musician Jamie Cullum. The taste in tone has gone full circle with a return to choosing a European piano so that our customers come to us for the more mellow, sweet and traditional sound of our bespoke pianos which the audience will be able to appreciate in the Priory.”

Professional soprano Elizabeth Frankland studied at The Yorkshire College of Music and is a popular guest soloist across the region including working with a variety of concert bands.

Her accompanist Anthea Sheperdson-Peel studied with Dame Fanny Waterman and her career has seen her work extensively throughout the UK. Together with Belle Canto they will entertain the audience with numbers from musicals and well known opera.
