A TRIO of local rock bands, Sure Fire Affair, Titan Soul, and Me and Dan, normally to be seen performing in Leeds clubs and pubs, will be creating a night to remember at Burley Social Club, Burley in Wharfedale, on Saturday, September 13. Starting at 7.30, the event will be raising funds for the Burley Bridge Association towards the construction costs of a pedestrian footbridge across the River Wharfe.
Surefire Affair is a four piece commercial indie/alternative rock band from Leeds who pen all their own material. They comprise Marc Gunjal on vocals, Tom Moon strumming the guitar, Joseph Paget with the bass licks and Mike Richmond on drums. The band was formed when Marc and Tom, who work together, started writing demos and decided to look for two other members to form a band. Joseph was next on the scene, near enough a lifelong friend of Tom’s, who was keen to join after hearing the demos. Mike, who had met Joseph once before through music, joined the band shortly after. The band has a very wide range of influences, hence the music they create. The acoustic set they will be performing at Burley Social Club gig will be their first gig as a duo. Think of your favourite song ever. Not that one. Think of maybe your favourite 45 songs ever.
