THE legendary Jimmy Osmond brings his all-new 70s Jukebox Show to King’s Hall, Ilkley, this month.
A seven-piece band, dancers and backing singers will join Jimmy on stage for a high-energy evening covering classics from the likes of Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, Elvis and The Jacksons, as well as all The Osmond’s hits such as ‘Love Me For A Reason’, ‘Crazy Horses’, ‘Let Me In’ and ‘One Bad Apple’.
The audience will also be treated to nostalgic videos and Jimmy will share stories from his superstar friends as well as performing ‘Long Haired Lover from Liverpool’, a song that stayed in the charts for 27 weeks and made him the youngest person ever to top the UK charts (a record that has not been beaten!).
The world was introduced to Jimmy just a month before his fourth birthday when he sang on the hugely popular Andy Williams Show.
Now 50 years later with 59 gold and platinum records to their credit, the Osmond family still has a lively and loyal fan base.
Jimmy has toured with the likes of Nancy Sinatra, Pat Boone and Andy Williams and starred in the Osmond’s own TV show. He has performed for the Queen and at The White House.
In more recent times he has appeared on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, Come Dine With Me, Pop Star To Opera Star and was a finalist on Celebrity Masterchef.
On stage he has performed as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Teen Angel in Grease in the West End and in Chicago as Billy Flynn.
Jimmy is at the King’s Hall, Ilkley on Tuesday, September 25, 7.30pm. Tickets £29 available from Bradford Theatres Box Office on 01274 432000 or visit bradford-theatres.co.uk.
