DANCE will return to Addingham (September) when the village’s Ceilidh Club restarts after its summer break.
The club is held in Addingham Memorial Hall on the third Sunday of each month, including September 20 and October 18, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Lively resident band Beneath The Clock includes callers Jennie Ellison, Jenny Scott and Liz Bowen, who have performed for many years with ceilidh bands in the Keighley area.
There is a varied programme, including dances in Yorkshire, England, Scotland, Ireland, France and the USA, as well as dances from ‘Playford’s era’.
In recent times the band have added devised dances to their repertoire, and there are also performance spots from musicians and guest callers.
