ARTISTS set out their work at Guiseley Theatre as part of Aireborough Festival.

Members of Guiseley Art Club exhibited their creations at the event on Wednesday, February 11. Secretary Christine Thomas said the day had been very worthwhile, with visitors showing a lot of interest in joining the club.

At the organisation’s next meeting on Monday, March 2, artist Peter Talbot will give a demonstration of his style of watercolour painting.

On his website he says: “My work reflects the rugged scenery of the landscape, either in the context of wild places or in the nature of the South Pennine landscape where I live.

“Here, I draw my inspiration from the remains of the pre-industrial era where crumbling enclosure walls and ancient pastures still survive.”

The meeting will take place from 1.30pm to 4pm at Guiseley Methodist Church, 1 Orchard Way, LS20 9EP. Visitors are welcome.

The entrance fee is £5 and there is no need to book.
