THESE evocative pictures were taken nearly 20 years apart but they each give an insight into the lives of ordinary people in the early years of last century.
A photograph taken at Henshaw Lane Head in Yeadon in 1908 shows what appear to be local residents posing outside their cottages.
In 1927 quarrymen and stonemasons were pictured at Moor Top Quarry in Guiseley.
Both pictures are from the archives of Aireborough Historical Society.
Archivist Carlo Harrison said: “Just look at how these men are dressed, collar and tie, waistcoats, shirts and these are men working in a dusty, dirty and dangerous environment.
“Not a hard hat or Hi-Viz jacket in sight”
