MORE than 3,000 people have viewed this photograph of the now long gone wet fish shop in Yeadon.
Memories flooded in after Aireborough Historical Society posted the picture on its facebook page. Bradley’s, in Ivegate, was demolished in 1975.
The society’s archivist Carlo Harrison said: “Memories have flooded in of trips to the fish shop as small children with mothers, of being sent with a note to purchase fish and of the smell which it seems most children hated.
“Who would have thought that such a simple, ordinary photograph would have excited the memories of people who were children in Yeadon and are now spread worldwide.”
The second, undated, photograph shows the Horsforth Primitive Methodist Dutch Bazaar.
