ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

CHAPEL STREET SILSDEN TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (NO 674) ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason to enable gas mains works proposed to be executed on or near Chapel Street, Silsden intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Chapel Street from a point outside No 15 Brierdene to a point outside No 21 Brierdene.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to emergency vehicles and vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be

available via Chapel Street (unaffected section), Bridge Street, Bell Square,

Bolton Road, Pickard Lane, North Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th April 2017 and remain in

force until 29th April 2017 (although the closure can remain in force for up to

eighteen months if necessary).
