JONES Rev. William Douglas (Doug) Doug died on November 9, 2018, aged 90 years. Much loved widower of Caroline, father of Rupert, Cathy, Fiona and Sarah, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in Warwick, Queensland, Australia, he served the worldwide Anglican Church since going to Papua New Guinea as a missionary in 1952. He served P.N.G. for 20 years, before working in Leeds, first as a Curate at St. James The Great, Manston and then Vicar of St. Mary's, Middleton and St. Paul's, Ireland Wood, before retiring to the parish of St. Wilfrid's, Pool in Wharfedale. Special thanks to the staff of Grove Park Care Home, Leeds. The funeral service will be held at St. Edmund's Church, Lidgett Park Road, Leeds, LS8 1JN, today, Thursday, November 29, at 11.30am. Family flowers only, but donations would be appreciated for Christian Aid and the Papua New Guinea Church Partnership (PNGCP) and can be sent to Hughes Funeral Services, 3 Hollin Park Parade, Oakwood Roundabout, Leeds, LS8 3AS.
