OTLEY Town's new manager Chris Peachey is wasting no time putting his plans in place.

He has already arranged seven pre-season friendlies and is turning his attentions to player recruitment.

The club's sudden dip from the West Yorkshire Premier League to Division Two in successive seasons is presenting him with a challenge.

But Peachey is determined to restore confidence and pride at the Old Showground and is keen to bring in players who a determined to lift the club out of its recent slump.

Peachey insists: "This is a new start with new management, new committee and a determination to rebuild this historic club.

Pre-season training will start on June 24 and the first friendly will be played on July 8 when Town visit West Riding County Amateur League side Tingley Athletic.

That is followed by a visit to West Yorkshire League Premier Division outfit Leeds City on July 18.

An away game at Robin Hood Athletic on July 27 and a home clash with Oxenhope Rec on August 5 round off the first team preparations.

The reserves have three friendlies lined up away to Leeds City OB on July 19 and Bramhope on July 25 before a home clash with Oxenhope Rec on August 5.

Last week saw the presentation night held for the seniors and Peachey added: "Despite a disappointing season, the players togetherness and determination to turn this club around was there for all to see. "
