Oxenhope 3 Otley Town 1
OTLEY Town went down to a slightly unfortunate Premier Division defeat away at Oxenhope on Saturday.
Town got off to a fine start when Scott Cater fired in a tremendous volley from 20 yards.
Otley went on to largely boss the first half but without really troubling the home goalkeeper and were pegged back when they conceded an equaliser, a disputed penalty, before half-time.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Town in the ascendency. The game however turned when goalkeeper Chris Brodie made a rare mistake in fumbling a speculative effort allowing an easy tap in for a gleeful attacker.
The coup de grace was delivered when Oxenhope scored a fine third goal in which Town's tormentor-in-chief Michael Garnett played a pivotal role.
There is no game on Boxing Day so Town are next in action on 2nd January with a home game against Wyke Wanderers (2pm kick off)
