Robin Hood Athletic 2 Otley Town 4

TOBY Harris fired in a fabulous hat-trick to seal a fine West Yorkshire League Premier Division away win for Town at Robin Hood.

Otley were well worth the three point, which anchors them comfortably in mid-table.

They got off to a great start when Scott Cater drilled in a superb volley, and they were soon two goals to the good when Harris added to his season’s haul, following in his own shot which the home goalkeeper had partially parried.

Otley played out of the rest of the half fairly comfortably and it looked like they could go in at half-time well pleased with their efforts.

That was until they gave away a soft penalty following a clumsy challenge from Tom Walker, to give Robin Hood a route back into the match.

When the home side exposed familiar defensive frailties with an a well-taken goal from a long ball over the top early in the second half, it suddenly looked as though all Town’s good work might be thrown away.

Step forward Harris again, who demoralised the home side just as they had got on level terms with a fine free-kick placed into the bottom corner.

Town put the game to bed with a fine fourth goal, the impressive youngster Jack Farrimond breaking down the left wing before supplying a perfect cross for Harris to complete his hat-trick.

Best on the day for Otley were Farrimond and Cater, but it was Harris who took the plaudits following his three goal salvo.

This coming Saturday sees Town entertain local rivals Pool in the District Cup (2pm kick-off)
