Guiseley Rangers are hosting a World Cup-themed tag rugby festival for primary schools tomorrow afternoon in conjunction with Leeds Rugby Foundation.
The schools taking part will be West End Primary School; Yeadon Westfield; St Mary’s; St Peter & Paul; Wharton’s Otley and Queensway Primary School.
Each school will bring several teams to the festival and will be allocated a random World Cup side.
Development officer Tony Aubrey said: “Tomorrow’s event is the culmination of a series of coaching sessions in primary schools in the North Leeds area.
“With the World Cup final virtually upon us, this will be a fantastic event to not only involve these children in rugby league, but to educate them about the World Cup and raise the profile of its success.
“As well as this, it is a great opportunity to signpost the children taking part in the festival to the Guiseley Rangers club in order to get more kids playing the sport.”
