GUISELEY have agreed to cancel the contract of injury-plagued striker Oli Johnson.

It will enable the 29-year-old former Norwich City and York City player to join National League North side Bradford Park Avenue.

Johnson, who signed for Guiseley in 2014, made 84 appearances and scored 17 goals. He went out on loan to Park Avenue earlier in the season.

Johnson started out at Nostell Miners Welfare before being snapped up by Stockport County.

His performances earned him a transfer to Norwich, who he helped gain promotion to the Premier League in 2011.

He then spent time out on loan at Yeovil Town before joining Oxford United in 2012.

Johnson moved on to York City, nearer his Wakefield home, in the 2012-13 season, playing just four games for the Minstermen before joining Guiseley. He helped the Lions win promotion to the National League for the first time in their history in 2015.
