GUISELEY will be looking for home advantage to help them get the job done tonight as they host National League counterparts Dover Athletic in an FA Trophy third round replay.

The sides drew 2-2 on the south coast a week last Saturday and last Tuesday’s first attempt to play the replay was washed out. The only danger of tonight’s game being postponed is from frost but the club had covers on the Nethermoor pitch last night so are hopeful of getting the game played.

Guiseley’s last run out on their own pitch was last year, a replay victory over Burscough in the first round on December 15.

The tie must reach a conclusion so it will go to extra-time and penalties if necessary.

Guiseley picked up a point from a 0-0 stalemate when the sides met in the league at Dover’s Crabble ground back in September.

The reward for tonight's winners is a trip to either Nantwich or Stourbridge in the next round.

There is more cup action on a busy night of football for the area’s semi-pro clubs with Farsley Celtic and Albion Sports both involved in their respective League Cup third-round ties.

The Celts host former Guiseley boss Steve Kittrick’s Scarborough Athletic in the Evo-Stik Doodson Sports Cup in an all-Division One North tie. Premier Division Albion make the long trip to Division One Teversal in the Northern Counties East League Cup.

Thackley and Liversedge are both in league action. The Dennyboys host Rainworth MW and Sedge make the short journey to Garforth Town.

Silsden are at home in the North West Counties top tier, with their visitors Colne also having a short road trip. James Gill’s first game in charge of the Cobbydalers was certainly an eventful one last Saturday as they ended the game with nine men in a 2-1 away defeat.
