GUISELEY will be looking for a third away win in a row as they visit Lincoln City on Saturday.

It will be their sixth-successive game on the road and they face trips to Dover in the FA Trophy and Woking in the National League before they next play at home to Grimsby on February 16.

Mark Bower’s team last played at Nethermoor in an FA Trophy first round replay against Burscough on December 15 and they haven’t played a league game there since beating Bromley 2-0 on November 18.

Despite their relentless travel schedule, the Lions were certainly feeling miles better after winning 1-0 at bottom team Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday with a late Liam Dickinson goal.

And they head for Sincil Bank determined to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered against the Imps on their live TV debut at Nethermoor on October 2.

“They looked very organised, disciplined and effective at our place,” said Bower. “However, when we have gone to the bigger clubs like Grimsby and bigger stages like Wrexham, the lads have grown into the surroundings.

“Lincoln is a Football League ground and a decent set up. Hopefully we can go there and enjoy the game and put them under pressure and go to win it.

“They will be the team under pressure, they lost on Saturday and are not on the greatest of runs. There’s a little bit of pressure on them while our win at Kidderminster takes the edge off of us so the lads can go and play with freedom.

“If we can go and play with the organisation and discipline shown over the past few weeks then we have a good chance. Look at Grimsby, how well we looked, we looked good at Dulwich, and at Kidderminster we played well with the ball.

“We looked like we could create chances and probably should have had a few goals but when we were under pressure we looked very solid and restricted them to very little. That’s what we have got to go and do at Lincoln.”
